Festival season is now upon us and everyone is preparing themselves for the hottest summer on record. Our reliable source the Met Office Exeter are informing us that we should expect a blistering summer. Take from that what you like, but pack your sun cream, wellies and your bobble hat just in case.
Here at SFI Media we have been busy preparing for the festival season, one especially the Exmouth Festival 2018. We won the gig to design and develop the branding for this years festival, including the posters, banners, brochures and the website. This years theme was that of a circus, the organisers Exmouth Town council have arranged for a big top tent to be the centre piece for the festival, where the beer will be flowing and acts performing.
Which brings me to the head-liners which are 'The Blockheads' famous of course in their own right but also they had a famous lead singer once Ian Dury who shall we say was a little bit of a rebel and was somewhat of a anti-hero for me growing up.
With hits like "Hit Me With Your Rythmn Stick", "Sex and drugs and rock n roll" and "Reasons to be cheerful" plus a whole list of other brilliant songs The Blockheads will be a great night.
As well as the main headliners the festival has a host of other great acts some local bands and other not so. Away from the music are some great performances and creative workshops including circus skills, painting, pottery and even waste plastic modelling.
There is the West Country tradition festival which focuses on all things from our region including dancing, folk music, sea shanties.
It should be a fab half term week of fun and entertainment, we are very proud to be a part of the event, so get on down to Exmouth for a week of endless things to do and see with all the family.
